Make Firefox 3 Look Like IE6
![]() |
look like this in minutes. Its Simple! Step-to-Step Guide Below: |
Theme
Firefoxp is
the theme that I created to give Firefox an XP/IE6 look:
Download This Theme Here
Install the theme from the Mozilla Add-ons site and you should
get something like above, if you have the default Set-up.
No-Un Buttons
This add-on
seperates the now merged back and forward buttons in Firefox 3+.

Old Location Bar
IE6 never had
a "awesome bar". I personally dislike the awesome bar
and like this extension instead.

Firesomething
It may not be Firefox 3 compatible by default, but i made a version that it. Now you can change your window title from Mozilla Firefox to Microsoft Internet Explorer.
The Word Address
It just
doesnt look like IE6 without the word address. That is why i
threw together a dummy button (when you click it, it does nothing).
This button just says the word Address. Somebody requested it,
and i could agree more.
This add-on adds a button in the Customize Toolbar called "Address".

file. Extract the xpi file and then go to File, Open in Firefox
and open it to install.
Custom IE6 Toolbar Buttons
Firefox is missing a few of the buttons that IE6 included. I compiled 3 of the most common ones into this addon. You get a custom Back button with the word "Back" on the button just like IE6. You get a Search icon which opens the default search site, and you get a Mail icon which once configured will open up your mail client.
Once installed go to, View, Toolbars, Customize, and drag and drop the icons according to the picture below or your personal preference.
To configure the Mail button, go to Tools, Addons, and find Custom IE6 Toolbar Buttons. Click "Options" and paste "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" into the box without the quotes if you use Windows XP or lower.

Window Icon
The little window icon in the upper left hand corner, and the one on your Taskbar can be customized.
Navigate your
file browser to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\icons\default"
This folder may differ based on your install location.
Also, you may have to create the icons and default folders.
